SUMMARY:Onsite Precedex (Dexmedetomidine) Training for the Dental Office
DESCRIPTION:Dexmedetomidine (Precedex)\, the dextro optical isomer of medetomidine\, is a pharmacologically selective α2-agonist with sedative\, anxiolytic\, and analgesic properties. Dexmedetomidine is in the same class as clonidine but differs from clonidine in its eightfold greater affinity for α2– compared with α1-receptors than with clonidine. Dexmedetomidine is currently being administered for procedural sedation and as an anesthetic adjunct. \n\n\n\nWe will come to your office with an experienced anesthesia provider to present and provide training on how to use this medication safely on patients for longer procedures or patients that are difficult to treat with typical sedative agents such as versed and fentanyl. \n\n\n\nIf desired we can send the information on what is needed and prior to arrival and you can schedule a patient and we will provide over the shoulder coaching the use of precedex after training. \n\n\n\nTraining covers the following: \n\n\n\nPatient Selection \n\n\n\nPharmacology / Pharmacokinetics \n\n\n\nManaging Hypo/Hypertension and Bradycardia \n\n\n\nManaging Emergencies \n\n\n\nRecovery and Discharge \n\n\n\nParticipants receive 8 hours of CE credit\,  \n\n\n\nOngoing faculty support and recommendations as needed. \n\n\n\n*The price for this service is $5000 and includes travel and lodging. \n\n\n\nA 50% deposit  of $2500 is required to schedule this program at your office. \n\n\n\nThis onsite dental sedation consult is a great way to prepare staff and yourself to provide safe sedation services to your patients. \n\n\n\nCall us to discuss scheduling at 888-581-4448 or email us

SUMMARY:ACLS & Airway Management for Dentists & Staff - San Diego\, CA
DESCRIPTION:Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)® For Dentistry         \n\n\n\nHeartCode® ACLS Online is a self-directed\, comprehensive eLearning program that uses adaptive learning technology to allow learners to acquire and demonstrate Advanced Cardiac Life Support skills using a personalized learning path that adapts in real time to a learner’s performance. The program is designed for healthcare professionals who need Advanced Cardiac Life Support training for their clinical duties. HeartCode® ACLS Online consists of a cognitive portion that is completed online. \n\n\n\nA separate psychomotor skills assessment using manikins with real-time  skills assessment with an AHA Instructor is required to earn a valid AHA ACLS Provider eCard that is valid for two years. \n\n\n\nWe add an extra hands – on component for airway management beyond the typical ACLS class utilizing simulation and multiple airway devices. \n\n\n\nAudience: This course is appropriate for dentists and assisting staff. \n\n\n\nObjectives: At the conclusion of this program\, participants should be able to: \n\n\n\n1.  Recognize and initiate early management of peri-arrest conditions that may result in cardiac arrest or complicate resuscitation outcome; \n\n\n\n2.  Manage cardiac or respiratory arrest until return of spontaneous circulation and respiration\, termination of resuscitation or transfer of care; \n\n\n\n3.  Recognize other life threatening clinical situations and provide effective initial care and transfer to reduce disability and death; \n\n\n\n4.  Describe  & demonstrate a variety of techniques for maintaining oxygenation; with hands on practice utilizing simulators and multiple airway devices \n\n\n\n5.  Recognition\, anticipation and maintenance of difficult airways \n\n\n\nFaculty:  American Heart Association® Certified ACLS Instructors \n\n\n\nDate / Time:  Feb. 6\, 2026 8:00 am – Finished \n\n\n\nLocation: Embassy Suites by Hilton San Diego La Jolla \n\n\n\n4550 La Jolla Village Dr. \n\n\n\nSan Diego\, CA 92122 \n\n\n\nFees: $650.00 Dentists & $350.00 Nurses & Assisting Staff \n\n\n\nSeating is limited\, pre-registration is required. \n\n\n\nThis continuing education activity is eligible for 12 hours of CE credit. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nConscious Sedation Consulting LLC is designated as an Approved PACE Program Provider by the Academy of General Dentistry.
